Leading two-day cybersecurity event kicks off in Helsinki on 7th November
The Cyber Security Nordic will be held for the fifth time on 7-8 November 2023 at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. The programme stages will feature a comprehensive line-up of top international cyber professionals, including Max Schrems, the lawyer and activist who gained international recognition for his groundbreaking campaigns against Facebook (Meta) exposing privacy violations, including violations of European privacy laws.
Cyber Security Nordic unites industry leaders and presents an exceptionally topical and engaging program. The event is tailored for IT and ICT executives, cyber security experts, private and public sector managers, policy makers and public authorities responsible for cyber security.
Jon Clay, Vice President of Trend Micro, will provide a broad view of malicious activity in the first half of 2023 in his keynote speech Stepping Ahead of Risk: Risk Insights from the Broadest Attack Surface View. Topics to be covered include artificial intelligence, APT campaigns, and ransomware.
Why is Endpoint Security a growing threat? And how will companies practically implement a fit-for-purpose Zero-Trust Endpoint Security architecture as a combination of people, policy and technology? Among other things, these questions will be answered by Pelle Aardewerk from EMEA and HP Wolf Security, in his keynote speech "Click Happens" - How to mitigate emerging endpoint security risks.
Truesec's Alexander Andersson and Fabio Viggiani's keynote presentation, Learning from 10 000 hours of enterprise forensics, will walk through the entire lifecycle of a cyber attack from start to finish. They will cover how to combat an attack at a general level, but also take a technical deep dive into advanced forensic methods and the tactics and techniques of the attackers.
In addition to the keynote speeches and the rest of the stage programme, the event will also feature two interesting panel discussions. On Tuesday 7 November, Europe's cyber security will be discussed in a panel discussion on How Europe tackles cyber threats. Speakers include Tarja Fernandez, Ambassador of Cyber Affairs, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland Henna Virkkunen MEP and Stefan Lee, Deputy Director of National Cyber Security of Finland
The panel discussion on Thursday 8 November will focus on Quantum computing and cyber security. The panel will feature mathematician Angela Robinson, Juha Vartiainen, founder and COO of IQM Quantum computers, Kimmo Järvinen, CTO and founder of Xiphera Ltd, and Sami Lehtonen, DI, from VTT.
