Ask us about your event’s signage, food service, waste handling, logistics, lighting and accessibility – among other things, these should be taken into account when calculating the sustainability of large events.

Tips for a more sustainable participation
Travel & Accommodation
Whenever possible, choose public transportation or carpool with your colleagues.
Stay at our parter hotel Holiday Inn Expo Helsinki for a sustainable stay and short walking distance.
Logistics
Order everything from Messukeskus. This way you avoid unnecessary transportation.
If you need to transport something use transportation and logistics companies that employ sustainable practices. Support local suppliers to boost the local economy and reduce transportation. Favor suppliers with environmental and social credentials.
Food and food waste
Bring your own reusable water bottle and use our water stations to help us reduce the use of single-use plastics. If you serve food in your booth, preferably choose locally sourced and plant-based options, and avoid the use of single-use plastics. Minimize food waste and order only the amount of food that is needed.
Food products and groceries from your event can be donated to those in need through our partners.
