Stranger Things star Jamie Campbell Bower to Arctic Lights Comic Con

Stranger Things fans are in for a real treat this May, as one of the show’s leading stars, Jamie Campbell Bower, will be attending Arctic Lights Comic Con. Finland’s largest pop culture event will bring together international stars from the worlds of film and gaming, as well as fans of games, cosplay, comics, anime, K-pop, and fan culture, at the Helsinki Exhibition & Convention Centre on 16–17 May 2026. Comic art enthusiasts will also be thrilled by the arrival of ten top names from Marvel and DC Comics.

Jamie Campbell Bower is best known for his role as Henry Creel / Vecna in the Stranger Things series. He has also appeared in productions such as Camelot and Twilight, as well as in the Harry Potter film universe, where he played young Grindelwald in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. In the upcoming third season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Bower will be seen as a striking, high-born elven warrior, codenamed “Arlen.”

In addition to acting, Jamie Campbell Bower is also a talented musician. From 2015 to 2020, he was the frontman of the band Counterfeit, and since 2020 he has been releasing music as a solo artist. At Arctic Lights Comic Con, fans will have the opportunity to meet the star at Starlight Main Stage Q&A sessions, an exclusive Meet & Greet, as well as separate autograph and photo sessions.

"It’s wonderful that we can respond to fans’ wishes and bring long-awaited star guests to Finland. Actors from Stranger Things have been among our most requested guests, so we’re especially excited to make many fans’ dreams come true,"says the event producer, Ida Kuningas.

Previous celebrity announcements for the event include Pom Klementieff, known for her roles in Guardians of the GalaxyAvengers, and Mission: Impossible films; Sean Gunn, known from Gilmore Girls, the Guardians of the Galaxyfilm series, and Peacemaker; and Tim Downie, known from Baldur’s Gate 3 and the Outlander series.

Among the content creators and influencers attending are ZoneVD, Paqpa, and Leevi Ikävalko. The event will also host the Finnish Cosplay Championships, K-pop cover dance competitions, and an AMV (Anime Music Video) contest.

Comic book creators from Marvel and DC Comics will also be attending

Arctic Lights Comic Con will also welcome eight international comic book creators from the Marvel and DC Comics universes: Amanda Conner (Harley Quinn, Wonder Woman), Jimmy Palmiotti (Daredevil, Punisher, Harley Quinn), Cary Nord (Conan, Daredevil, Wonder Woman), Paul Jenkins (The Sentry, Wolverine: Origin, Inhumans), Lee Bermejo (Joker, Luthor, Batman: Dear Detective), Kevin Nowlan (Batman, Jack B. Quick, Hellboy), Yanick Paquette (Batman, Swamp Thing, Wonder Woman), and Jermaine McLaughlin (Infinite Crisis, Flashpoint, The New 52).

In addition, the event will host two iconic comic book editors: Rob Levin, Senior Editor at DC Comics, and Mark Paniccia, Senior Editor at Marvel. They will offer portfolio reviews for both emerging artists and Finnish professionals aiming to break into the U.S. comic book market.
