Studia 2025 publishes its programme – Finland’s largest study and career event highlights lifelong learning and career stories

How do you find your direction in a changing world? How can you reshape your career as an adult? How do you describe your skills convincingly, make use of AI in job hunting, or find the courage to study abroad? These and many other questions will be addressed in the programme of Studia 2025, now published. Finland’s largest study and career event will take place at Messukeskus Helsinki on 25–26 November 2025 in cooperation with the Upper Secondary School Student Union of Finland.

Studia is Finland’s largest event for studies and careers, bringing together thousands of young people and adults. The programme offers inspiration, perspectives, and practical advice both for those looking for a place to study and for those considering a career change. Content is also tailored for study counsellors and other education professionals.

Inspiration and career tips: stages filled with fascinating names

A brand-new Lifelong Learning Area invites visitors to develop their skills and keep up with the changing world of work. On the stage, keynote speaker Soila Lemmetty, docent at the University of Jyväskylä and visiting researcher at the University of Stuttgart, will give a talk entitled “What is lifelong learning? Perspectives on adult learning during a career”. The presentation will explore learning in different workplace contexts and challenge audiences to reflect on what lifelong learning really means.

The Vision Stage will provide practical information on student admissions, study counselling services, and pathways to university studies. Visitors can also enjoy a light-hearted competition where Members of Parliament from different political parties test their knowledge of the everyday life and realities of upper secondary students.

On the Inspiration Stage, career stories, presentations from educational institutions, and hands-on tips about various degrees, jobs, and studying abroad will spark new ideas for building one’s own path. The stage will also host a panel discussion organised by the Lukuboost project, featuring crime writer Max Seeck, fantasy author Annukka Salama, and influencers Juho Rautvaara (@jesusguised) and Niko Viljakainen (@vilsuri).

The programme across stages and panels will also feature well-known Finnish names such as journalist and author Ronja Salmi and “Terapeutti-Ville” Ville Meriläinen, who will enrich discussions with their own perspectives and experiences.

Studia is full of meaningful encounters. At the event, you can meet students already in higher education, hear about their experiences and gain confidence in your own plans.

Personal guidance and interactive workshops

Visitors will also have access to personal guidance: at the Opoklinikka counselling clinic, experienced study counsellors will provide support with questions about current studies and future plans.

Interactive workshops organised by Barona will address skills needed in job interviews, how to articulate one’s competences, preparing for interviews, writing CVs and applications, and even using AI in the job search.

The Lifelong Learning Area will also include a CV photo booth, where visitors can update their professional headshots, taken by photography students from Laajasalo Folk High School.

The programme at the exhibition stands draws you in: visitors get to try things out for themselves, take part and be inspired.
