Haltia Lake Lodge Highlights Nature-Positive Tourism at Matka Travel Fair

Located next to Nuuksio National Park, Haltia Lake Lodge will showcase nature-positive tourism as a strategic competitive advantage at Matka Travel Fair 2026. The lodge is also the organiser of the programme session “Nature-Positivity as a Competitive Advantage: A Strategic Path to Sustainable Growth and Value Creation” on Friday 16 January at 5:00–5:25 PM (Travel Stories Stage, in Finnish).

In the session, Haltia Lake Lodge’s founder and CEO Teemu Tuomarla will present concrete, practice-based examples of how investing in nature’s wellbeing—such as water ecosystem restoration, habitat regeneration and biodiversity-enhancing actions—directly strengthens product quality, market differentiation and long-term business value.

Tuomarla has been appointed a Visit Finland Sustainability Ambassador in 2025. The role reinforces Haltia Lake Lodge’s position as a forerunner in nature-positive and regenerative tourism, demonstrating how customer experience, business resilience and the strengthening of nature’s carrying capacity can be aligned through tangible actions.

At Matka Travel Fair, Haltia Lake Lodge will be present at the Nuuksio Lakeland joint stand, 6s8, showcasing the region’s nature-based tourism offerings and sustainable travel solutions to an international audience.
