A new direction in moped graphics – Feratale’s 3D editor brings customers more strongly into the design process
Young riders know exactly what they want. Feratale, a company specializing in two-wheeler graphics, has launched a 3D editor that allows customers to test graphics, colors, and material combinations before making a purchase decision.
Graphic decal kits have established their place in the moped scene over the past 15 years. Their popularity is based on ease and visual impact: with a single purchase, the look of a bike can be transformed dramatically.
However, decals do not limit creativity—quite the opposite. They often incorporate inside jokes from friend groups, logos, favorite characters, and bold color combinations. With customizable graphics, the only limits are the customer’s imagination and the graphic designer’s skills.
The new 3D editor launched by Finnish Feratale Custom Graphics, founded in 2024, shifts even more control over the final result from the designer to the customer.
In the graphics kit editor, customers can try out different graphics, colors, and material combinations on a 3D-modeled bike before making a purchase. The editor helps customers better understand what the final result will look like in real life. Inspiration for the editor was drawn from the gaming world, where car and character tuning views are familiar to many.
“With the editor, it’s easy for customers to experiment and visualize different options. This is important because, especially for young customers, this is a major purchase decision that they have often saved for over a long period of time,” says Feratale’s founder and lead designer, Topias Suokas.
Like many of his current customers, 26-year-old Suokas began modifying bikes as a teenager. Later, the hobby turned into a job at a company designing graphic kits.
“Scene has always been community-driven: it’s generally known what’s cool and what isn’t. Today, there are more options and tools available for customizing mopeds than before. Young people know what’s possible and can therefore give very detailed wishes to the designer.”
Having worked in the field for ten years, Suokas wants to bring more personality and bold solutions to the decal market.
“I started to feel that something new and fresh was needed. I want to create graphics so cool that customers can’t even dream of them yet.”
Feratale Custom Graphics will be exhibiting this year at the MP 26. The 3D editor can be tested at MP Jonnela at Feratale’s own stand throughout the fair weekend, from January 30 to February 1, 2026.
