A new international electricity industry event opens on Wednesday 15 April

A new international electricity industry event opens on Wednesday 15 April in Helsinki

Sähkö–Electricity will bring together companies and professionals from across the sector at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre on 15–17 April 2026. Taking place for the first time, the international Sähkö–Electricity 26 trade expo is set to energise the electricity industry’s exhibition landscape in Northern Europe. The event will feature 319 exhibitors and many more brands.

The electricity sector is undergoing rapid transformation. The renewal of energy systems, the growth of electric mobility, smart grids, lighting solutions and the increasing use of digitalisation are reshaping the industry and its operating environment at speed. The ecosystem formed by data centre and cloud service operators will emerge as one of the event’s key programme themes.

Minister of the Environment Sari Multala will deliver the opening address on the Power Stage on 15 April at 12:00. The Sähkö–Electricity programme brings together the most important future perspectives of the electricity sector – from the transformation of energy production and consumption to the latest technological developments in industry. The main stage programme on the Power Stage will be presented in Finnish and English.

Sähkö–Electricity 26 provides a forum where professionals can network and gain up‑to‑date insights into future solutions,” says Kari Lilja, electricity industry consultant and Secretary General of the event, Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre.

Sähkö–Electricity 26 is a new, international‑level three‑day trade trade expo to be held at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre on 15–17 April 2026 and thereafter every two years. In addition to the Finnish Fair Corporation, the event has been developed in close cooperation with leading industry companies including ABB, Siemens, Sonepar, Ahlsell and Airam.
