Media Centre and Lounge
During the construction works of the Solar event space until autumn 2027, we serve media representatives in the Upper Gallery and in the adjacent Lounge, which provides a quiet space for breaks and work.
The large number of media representatives attending the Helsinki Book Fair has been taken into account with a dedicated media area. Media services are available in the Valo venue near the South Entrance.
At the Media Centre:
- Assistance with accreditation and printing PRESS badges
The lounge offers:
- Coffee, tea, and water
- A small refrigerator and microwave oven
- Restroom facilities
- Shared-use computers
- Soundproof phone booth
- Paid printing services
- A limited number of lockable storage lockers
Please note:
- Since the lounge is also a work space, we hope that children, strollers and pets are not brought onto the site.
- We are not responsible for any personal belongings left in the lounge.
Arrival
The Media Centre and Lounge are located in the Upper Gallery on the first floor, near the southern entrance.
Media representatives can collect their PRESS badge as well as a cloakroom ticket and parking validation when needed, from the Service Point and the Info Points located at the entrances. This practice applies to events organized by Messukeskus.
If you arrive by car, tell the service point staff your license plate number. Parking is free for accredited journalists at events organized by Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre itself. Please note that during the guest events hosted by other event organisers, parking policies may vary.
