Folkpop came alive at Messukeskus Amfi

Messukeskus served as a venue on the Swedish pop duo First Aid Kit’s world tour in February 2023.

The Swedish pop duo First Aid Kit has conquered one top venue after another with their world tour, from London’s Hammersmith Apollo to Berlin’s Columbiahalle and Stockholm’s Globen to New York’s Radio City Music Hall.

When the tour arrived in Finland, Messukeskus’ Amfi hall joined the chain of famous concert venues. Fullsteam’s promoter Artemi Remes was looking for a suitable space in Helsinki and remembered that David Bowie and Ozzy Osbourne had also performed at Messukeskus – why not First Aid Kit! Intuition did not disappoint, as the First Aid Kit’s praised sounded wonderful at Messukeskus.

There is space in the amphitheater for both seated and standing spectators. The grandstand, which rises to the seats, can accommodate more than 4,000 listeners. Bar and restaurant services are in the immediate vicinity of the hall. It is easy to get to Messukeskus from anywhere in Finland, and most people are already familiar with the place based on their visits to trade fairs.
