Changes to driving practices in halls 6 and 7
We want to ensure that the construction and dismantling of events at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre (Messukeskus) run as safely, efficiently and on schedule as possible. For this reason, starting from our autumn 2026 events, we will introduce a new loading model in Halls 6 and 7. The model applies during official construction and dismantling times.
What is changing?
Driving into halls 6 and 7 will only be possible via the outdoor loading area, and access to the halls will take place along two designated main aisles. Loading and unloading of goods will take place at marked loading points located on these aisles.
How the new model works:
- Access to the halls via the loading area:
Hall 6: Entry through door 6.6 – exit through door 6.12 / height limit 3.7 m
Hall 7: Entry through door 7.5 – exit through door 7.17 / height limit 4.0 m
- Drive to a loading point, unload or load your goods, and exit the hall.
- Transport goods between the loading point and your stand using the trolleys provided.
The driving routes, loading areas and loading points are marked in red on the map. Areas that must remain free of traffic, including side aisles, are marked in green.

How we ensure smooth loading and unloading:
- There are 9 loading points in total along the two main aisles:
- 4 loading points in Hall 6
- 5 loading points in Hall 7
- Each loading point can accommodate 2–3 vans or trucks
- Traffic control will be in place during construction and dismantling to ensure smooth movement.
- Passenger cars can no longer be driven into the halls. Cars must be parked in the outdoor loading area, and goods transported to stands using trolleys.
- To ensure smooth unloading and transport of goods to and from stands, a large number of trolleys are available for customer use.
- Side aisles marked in green on the map must remain clear. Driving or stopping in these aisles is prohibited, and goods may not be left there.
- Temporary storage of goods is allowed in aisles that are not marked in green on the map.
Why is this change being made?
We want to ensure that construction and dismantling in our halls proceed more smoothly, safely and predictably than before.
The new model significantly improves:
Safety
- Clear and controlled traffic flow inside the halls
- Fewer bottlenecks and hazardous situations in aisles
- Improved indoor air quality due to reduced vehicle emissions
Efficiency of construction and dismantling
- Schedules are easier to maintain
- Aisles remain open for transporting goods
- Stand construction and finishing work progress more smoothly
Please note:
- The change in driving practices does not apply to halls 3, 4 and 5.
- During Habitare’s construction and teardown period, a 2‑hour parking stay is free of charge for our customers.
