Cyber Security Nordic 2026 programme addresses AI, digital resilience and the geopolitical dimensions of cybersecurity

Cyber Security Nordic returns to Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre on 28-29 October 2026, bringing together cybersecurity professionals, business leaders and public authorities for two days of discussions on the evolving cyber landscape. With more than 80 speakers across four stages, the programme features experts from the FBI, Citizen Lab and the field of geopolitical technology analysis. The event also showcases solutions and services from 100 exhibitors.

As cybersecurity continues to evolve beyond a technical function into a business, leadership and societal issue, Cyber Security Nordic 2026 will examine the forces shaping the security landscape today. The programme addresses topics ranging from artificial intelligence and cyber resilience to digital sovereignty, surveillance technologies and geopolitical developments.

"Cybersecurity continues to move higher on the agenda of organisations across all sectors. This is reflected not only in the strength of this year's programme, but also in exhibitor demand. The number of exhibiting companies has grown by 42 % compared to last year, making Cyber Security Nordic 2026 our largest edition to date," says Anssi Rajala, Business Manager at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre.

Keynote speakers bring global perspectives

Ron Deibert, Founder and Director of Citizen Lab and Professor of Political Science at the University of Toronto, will present his keynote, The Vicious Cycle: Personal Data Surveillance, Privatized Subversion and the Spread of Authoritarianism. Known for leading investigations into commercial spyware and digital surveillance, Deibert will explore the growing influence of surveillance technologies, private actors and cyber capabilities, and their impact on democracy and global security.

The geopolitical dimensions of technology and cybersecurity will be addressed by Dr Susann Lüdtke, Founder and CEO of Lüdtke Intelligence & Analytics. Her keynote, Decoding China's Standards Playbook in the Wake of Europe's Cyber Resilience and Sovereignty Push, also addresses how technical standards are becoming a strategic tool in global competition and what Europe's push for cyber resilience and technological sovereignty means for businesses and policymakers.

Panel discussion focuses on digital resilience

The programme also includes a high-level panel discussion on digital resilience and preparedness in an increasingly interconnected world. In Digital Resilience in Practice: How Governments and Industry Respond to Real-World Cyber Threats, government representatives and cybersecurity experts discuss how organisations and societies can prepare for and respond to disruptions affecting critical services and infrastructure.

Panellists include Yi-Jing Lin, Minister of Digital Affairs of Taiwan, Jarkko Saarimäki, Director General of Traficom, Bob Hung of Trend Micro and Aapo Cederberg of Cyberwatch Finland. The discussion will focus on practical lessons in resilience, leadership and public-private cooperation from Finland, Europe and Taiwan.

Strategic partner speakers bring industry perspectives

In addition to the keynote speakers, Cyber Security Nordic 2026 features international presentations from strategic partners and industry leaders. Among them is Mikko Hyppönen (Elisa), who will present how artificial intelligence is reshaping both cyber threats and cyber defence.

In their presentations, Paolo Palumbo (WithSecure) and Holger Haljand (Telia Finland) will share insights into the impact of artificial intelligence on cybersecurity, the evolving threat landscape, and the growing significance of cybersecurity in geopolitical competition.
