Consumer-focused iGaming festival planned for Finland’s new licensed gambling era
A new consumer event, iGaming Festival, is being planned at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. The aim of Finland’s first consumer-facing iGaming event is to bring together visitors interested in gambling, industry stakeholders and service providers, while offering a new forum where players and companies can meet. iGaming Festival will be held alongside the MP Motorcycle Show at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre from 4 to 6 February 2028.
The event is produced by Finnish Gaming Experts. Titti Myhrberg, the event’s producer and CEO of Finnish Gaming Experts, says the event concept has been developed in close cooperation with industry stakeholders.
”We have been developing the event concept together with industry stakeholders and have noticed that there is surprisingly strong interest in an event like this. There has not previously been a similar forum where players and companies in the industry can meet face to face, but there is clearly demand for one. After decades of a monopoly-based gambling market, Finland is entering a new era, and we believe there is a genuine need for an event that brings together players, operators and industry experts in one place,” says Myhrberg.
iGaming Festival is planned to take place at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre alongside the MP Motorcycle Show on 4–6 February 2028. The event is being developed and its content planned in cooperation with licensed gambling operators active in Finland. The planning takes into account the gambling legislation and official guidance in force at the time of the event.
The starting point for the new event is to offer people interested in gambling the opportunity to learn about companies in the sector and meet their representatives. For companies, the event provides a unique platform for meeting players face to face.
“We are delighted that iGaming Festival will be held at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. It is great to be involved in creating a new event for the gambling industry that provides a forum for meetings, discussion and the sharing of knowledge,” says Satu Papadopoulos, Business Manager at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre.
The planning of the event also takes responsible gambling into account. The event will feature a dedicated stage with programme content focusing on themes related to responsible gambling.
iGaming Festival to feature awards gala, seminar and public programm
As part of the iGaming Festival, the industry’s iGaming Awards gala and a seminar for professionals will be held on Thursday 3 February 2028. The gala is planned to take place at Solar, Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre’s next-generation event space opening in August 2027. Once completed, Solar will be one of the most modern event venues in the Nordics and can host galas, seminars, launches, corporate events and experiences connected to major exhibitions and congresses.
The event will be open to the general public on 4–6 February 2028. Admission is included with a ticket to the MP Motorcycle Show. The event is restricted to visitors aged 18 and over.
The MP Motorcycle Show is the largest motorcycle event in the Nordics, bringing together motorcycle enthusiasts, industry professionals and leading brands. The event attracts more than 50,000 visitors annually to Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre.
