Vene 26 Båt: An Impressive Range of Boats, Stories, and Water Experiences
The Helsinki International Boat Show Vene 26 Båt showcases 400 boats, boating accessories and equipment, as well as fishing and water activities 6-15 February 2026 at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. In addition, the boat show offers around 500 lectures and performances. The full program will be published on January 12, 2026.
The boat show offers a wide range of information on boating, fishing, and water activities. At the Maritim Stage in the Sailing Harbour, Totalveneen messi, Venemestarin Telakka, the Aalto Basin, and the Tohatsu Fishing Stage, visitors can hear exciting stories and valuable tips, as well as try out various activities themselves. The diving pool offers the opportunity to try out recreational scuba diving, and at the Finnish Sailing and Boating Federation´s booth, visitors can get information about boating: how to get started easily, what it’s like as a hobby, and about competitions. Finnish Sailing and Boating Federations home harbour also features a functional children’s world, a Club Square presenting sailing clubs from around Finland, and an area for sailing class associations.
Stories from the World’s Oceans Captivate at the Boat Show
The Maritim Stage at the Sailing Harbour offers a unique opportunity to experience adventures from the world’s oceans and hear unusual stories from all corners of the globe. Sailor Juho Karhu, experienced in Arctic environments, shares how he navigated the extremely challenging Northwest Passage and spent six months icebound with his boat off Greenland’s west coast. Olympic gold medalist Enni Rukajärvi and photographer Rami Hanafi will share their three-year Sail & Ski project, in which Enni snowboards on untouched mountain slopes during the journey while Rami captures the adventure with his camera. In addition, the audience will hear young Viivi Moisio talk about her plan to sail solo across the Atlantic. Her project has also involved building the racing boat on a finished hull, and the boat can now also be seen at the boat show in the Sailing Harbour.
Seascape’s CEO, Andraž Mihelin, who is responsible for Beneteau’s First model range, will attend the fair together with Hallberg-Rassy’s CEO Magnus Rassy to discuss the development of cruising sailboats on Saturday, February 7 at 11 a.m. – what features they offer and where development is heading. Mihelin and Rassy will also be present on the opening day, February 6. On Friday, February 13, the Baltic Sea Day will be held in the Sailing Harbour, and among other things, the recipient of the €20,000 Save the Baltic Sea Award funded by the Finnish Fair Foundation will be announced.
A Yamarin Refreshed at Venemestarin Telakka
At the Venemestarin Telakka booth, visitors can get practical information about boat service and equipment. One of the boats being upgraded at the booth is a Yamarin 59 HT. A Wallas heater is being installed on the Yamarin, and the rub rails are being replaced. Other equipment is also being installed and showcased. At the booth, visitors can learn about the features and installation of items such as synthetic Flexiteek decking and lithium batteries. In addition, they can explore the electronics on a racing yacht preparing to sail the world’s oceans.
New Boats, Harbour Tips, and a Guide to Buying a Used Boat
At the Totalveneen Messi booth, visitors can see presentations of the show’s latest boat models as well as interesting harbours in Finland and the Baltics. The editor-in-chief of Totalvene and Venemestari, Jan Sjölund, will present the new boats at the Vene 26 Båt fair. Kalevi “Kallu” Westersund will talk about harbours in Estonia and the Baltic countries, and Petri Tuokko about boating in Åland – around Åland and about Hamnsundet in Northern Åland. In addition, tips on choosing a boat will be shared in a presentation by Kippari magazine journalist Jouko Saarinen, and guidance on tying useful knots will be given together with Hannu “Solmu” Seppänen.
The Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency will provide information at the fair about waterway maintenance and navigation aids. The Finnish Border Guard will in turn give information on safety – dangerous collisions and persons overboard. Traficom’s presentations will cover the N2000 fairway and nautical chart reform, boating certificates of competence in Finland, and the boat register. We will also hear a presentation by Haaga-Helia on the Boating Gateway Finland project, explaining how boating Finland is promoted internationally.
Everything About Fishing, Scuba Diving, and Water Activities
The boat show features two halls dedicated to fishing and water activities. The sport fishing section has more fishing boats than before, and this year, fishing tourism is also highlighted. At the Aalto area’s pool, this year promises full speed and memorable experiences. Recreational scuba diving is offered on a larger scale than before, as Dive Travel Finland now complements Sea Safety. Visitors can enjoy a wealth of exciting information and insights about scuba diving, and they also have the opportunity to try diving themselves. Recreational and technical diving instructor Lee Smallwood Cassar will talk about diving around the Maltese islands, which offer clear Mediterranean waters, iconic shipwrecks, marine parks, and a wide range of recreational diving experiences.
In the pool, visitors can also play water polo, steer radio-controlled sailboats, and try out SUP boards. During the boat show’s second weekend, the Finnish Championships in SUP Indoor will take place. On Saturday, February 7, the popular SUP competitions for influencers will take place. During the weekends. During weekend mermaids will be on hand to delight the youngest members of the family.
At the boat show, the top motorboats are chosen in the categories of Open Boat of the Show, Weekender or Commuter Cruiser of the Show, and Cabin Cruiser of the Show, along with the Best Sailing Yacht. In addition, the fishing boat of the show is awarded for the second time. In the sport fishing section, the titles of Fishing Guide of the Year, Angler of the Year, and Fishery Warden of the Year are also presented.
The Helsinki International Boat Show, Vene 26 Båt, will be held from February 6–15, 2026, at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre.
