Karava Introduces a New Generation of Fire Retardant Wood Products at FinnBuild

Karava, in collaboration with Varmawood, will present a new generation of NTL FP-X fire retardant treated wood products at FinnBuild. The solution combines a high level of fire safety with the natural appearance of wood and freedom of design.

The NTL FP-X fire retardant treatment enables wood to achieve the highest possible reaction to fire classification, B-s1,d0. The industrially applied treatment ensures consistent quality, long lasting performance and a maintenance free finish without concealing the natural appearance of the wood. The fire retardant treated wood can also be finished in a colour and style that complements the project.

The performance of the products has been certified and documented. Testing in accordance with EN 16755 EXT enables the products to be used in exterior applications. The fire retardant treated products are available in thermally modified spruce and pine.
