SOLAR – A piece of the future
Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre is growing along with the city of Helsinki and will build Solar, an event space of the future. When completed in the autumn of 2027, it will be one of the most modern event spaces in the Nordics, where stunning architecture combines with space adaptability and cutting-edge technology. Along with Solar, Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre’s façade and main entrance will also be renewed. YIT constructs the Solar event space. Our operations will continue uninterrupted throughout the construction period.

At Solar, sustainability is reflected in high-quality, durable, and easily recyclable material choices as well as efficient energy solutions. A solar panel field will be installed on the roof.
Scalable, first-class audiovisual capabilities guarantee a unique experience for your audience.
Solar can be seamlessly connected with other Messukeskus venues, and it is easy to reach both by public transport and by car.
