EHTEL and Radical Health Festival Join Forces to Spotlight Radical Shifts in European Health Data
The EHTEL Thought Leader Symposium will be co-locating with Europe’s premier festival for health and care: Radical Health Festival Helsinki, taking place from 19–21 January 2026 in Helsinki, Finland. EHTEL and Radical Health Festival are putting a spotlight on one of the most urgent transformations in European healthcare: the practical rollout preparation of the European Health Data Space (EHDS).
As EHDS moves from legislation to implementation, this partnership reflects a shared ambition: to bring Europe’s health data vision to life. EHTEL brings decades of experience in digital health policy, interoperability, infrastructure, and EU projects in this field, with a membership base spreading across Europe and beyond. Radical Health Festival brings system-level reach, a vibrant community of changemakers, and a relentless focus on action. Together, they offer a powerful platform for both dialogue and delivery.
At the heart of the EHTEL Thought Leader Symposium will be a bold, forward-looking agenda. The 2026 programme will explore real-world approaches to making EHDS work — including ecosystem and infrastructure readiness, patient access, AI-enabled secondary use, and collaboration across borders — all within the broader context of RHFH’s theme: Operationalising Precision Health – making it real, together. In the lead-up to the event, EHTEL is preparing four working papers focused on EHR systems, AI for structuring data, EHR and Decision Support Systems, patient access enablers — designed to spark meaningful insight and ground the conversations in shared realities.
