Boaters met at the Boat Show, companies satisfied with business

Vene 23 Båt Helsinki International Boat Show was organised from 10 to 19 February 2023 at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. Almost 64,000 persons interested in boating, water hobbies and fishing visited the boat show over ten days. According to the visitor survey conducted at the fair, the visitors were very satisfied with the event. The participating companies experienced good results in sales of boats, equipment and supplies. In addition to these, the visitors were particularly interested in sailing, wooden boats and fishing.

”Once again, the boat show showed its strength and business took off at the show, as always before. Many happy reunions were experienced at the fair after a three-year break. This year, the supply of electric motors has been even larger and they have also interested visitors, “says Jarkko Pajusalo, Managing Director of the contractor Finnish Marine Industries Federation Finnboat. “The companies have said that the visitors have been on the move with purchasing in mind, so the visitor profile has been correct right.”

Sales and Marketing Manager Janne Mäkelä from Bella-Boats Oy is very satisfied. “We sell Bella, Falcon, Flipper and Aquador boats, and business was good at the boat show for the entire model range. We even sold one boat more than during the show in 2020. We received valuable information for the factory from customers and a huge number of requests for offers for our boat dealers, which were already processed during the fair and the work will continue after the fair. There were 14 boats on display at the stand,” says Mäkelä.

Managing Director Sebastian Kindstedt from Marinekauppa.com/Norcap Oy says that business was good on the Marinekauppa stand. This year, the Temo electric motor was launched there. People were interested in it, but life jackets, boating clothes and accessories were the items that were most sold at the fair. “At the fair, you meet customers in a completely different way than elsewhere. You are able to tell them about the products face-to-face and answer questions. The company’s visibility at the Show is also important. All in all, it has been nice to be at the boat show again,” says Kindstedt.

Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre organises the largest boating event in Northern Europe Vene 24 Båt Helsinki International Boat Show next time 9 – 18 February 2024 at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre, on behalf of the Finnish Marine Industries Federation Finnboat.
