Habitare’s guest of honor exhibitions will feature Swedish Fogia and Danish New Works, both known for their experimental approach and appreciation of craftsmanship

Habitare 2025 will bring together nearly 500 companies in September – both familiar names and first-timers. Two furniture brands known for their experimental spirit and respect for traditional craftsmanship will be featured as guest of honor exhibitions: Swedish Fogia and Danish New Works. The event will also feature pop-up stands by Designkaverit and Muurla. Habitare, the leading furniture, design and interior event in the Nordics, will be held at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre from 10 to 14 September 2025.

Finnish and Nordic design will be widely showcased at Habitare, with nearly 500 companies participating. Among them are a wide range of beloved furniture and interior brands such as Annala, Arkivé Atelier, Avolt, Bolon, Cover Story, Gauhar Helsinki, Genelec, Finarte, Hakola, Kuusilinna, Lapuan Kankurit, Masku, Matri, Nikari, Novart, Pihlgren & Ritola, SEES Company, Suomen Luonnonmaalit, .TEBIAN, Timberwise, and VM Carpet – and many more.

The guest of honor exhibitions at Habitare will feature Swedish Fogia and Danish New Works.

Fogia

At Fogia, design is about more than looks—it’s about emotion, presence, and restraint. It’s design with intention, built slowly and sustainably. Each piece a modern heirloom. Understated, intelligent, and quietly powerful—this is Scandinavian design at its most elevated.

Designed with Andreas Engesvik, the Tiki sofa exemplifies this ethos. A masterclass in understated design, Tiki’s slim metal legs and plush seating achieve a rare balance between weightlessness and warmth. It’s a sculptural centerpiece as much as a functional object—perfectly suited to residential calm or refined commercial spaces.

New Works

New Works was founded by Nikolaj Meier and Knut Bendik Humlevik from the desire to establish a design house where design comes to life with care and intent, and where there is room for creative experiments — a place for new works. Together with a small, dedicated team, they set out to define a curated collection of elevated, yet accessible objects for living. It is through this objective that they shape the continuously evolving story of New Works.

New Works presents a collection at the intersection between old and new. Light and dark. Design and art. Their work pays homage to the strong Scandinavian history of craftsmanship and materiality, whilst challenging the contemporary forms of today. They collaborate with an international group of renowned designers and artisans, who display a matching fascination with sculptural forms and honest materials. These collaborative pursuits convey their love of the sensual, and of the bold.
