MP 24 invests in young people

Northern Europe’s largest motorcycle fair, the MP 24 Motorcycle Show, welcomes all motorcyclists and young moped enthusiasts to learn about motorcycle novelties, mopeds and ATVs. All the most important and largest motorcycle brands with their new models, as well as an increasing number of electric bicycles are represented. Now, for the first time, the MP Show has its own area aimed at young people, called the MP Jonnela, where some 100 vehicles customised by young people are on display. The MP 24 Motorcycle Show will take place this week from Friday to Sunday, 2 – 4 February 2024 at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre.

The MP Motorcycle Show presents a record number of motorcycle, moped, ATV and electric bicycle brands with their latest models.  Represented brands include, among others, Aodes, Aprilia, Benelli, BMW, CanAm, CFMOTO, Conan, Drac, Ducati, Fantic, GasGas, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Husqvarna, Indian, Kawasaki, KTM, Moto-Guzzi, MV Agusta, Peugeot, Piaggio, Polaris, Royal Enfield, Segway, Stark Varg, SuperSoco, Suzuki, Talaria, Triumph, Vespa and Yamaha.  Among the new models on display are, among others BMW F 900 GS, Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono RVE, Honda CBR650R E-Clutch, Husqvarna Motorcycles Svartpilen 401, KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE R EVO & KTM 990 DUKE, MV Agusta TURISMO VELOCE SCS, Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, Suzuki GSX-S1000GX and Yamaha MT-09 / MT-09 SP. The hybrid motorcycle Kawasaki Ninja 7 is also presented at the show.

”The MP Motorcycle Show now includes the largest exhibition area ever, with an 18% growth compared to last year. There are 163 companies participating, which is 40 more than the previous year. The fair features an increased display of electric bicycles, as well as motorcycle accessories and equipment. Despite upcoming strikes, the show is organised as usual, and Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre offers full services. However, due to the public transportation strike, measures have been taken. “We have taken more parking spaces in use and hope that as many people as possible will carpool to the MP Motorcycle Show. In the Helsinki metropolitan area, we also organise nonstop bus transportation,” says Project Manager Niko Kantola from Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. “The Motorcycle Show will showcase the hottest motorcycle novelties, stunning custom-built motorcycles, and for the first time, the MP Jonnela area, featuring about 100 vehicles customised by youth under 18 years. A new feature at the Motorcycle Show is also the allocation of stands in the halls. This year, stands showcasing motorcycles are placed in a larger area allowing visitors to get a closer look at the motorcycles, ensuring an even more enjoyable experience at the show.”

New: MP Jonnela showcases motorcycle hobby among young people

This year the MP 24 Motorcycle Show highlights young peoples’ moped hobby in particular.  Social media personality JuhisRacing will be at the show on Friday and Saturday at 12 PM sharing insights into the moped hobby and at 3 PM participating in a building demonstration with 12-year-old Aarre. The finishing touches to Aarre’s bike will be completed at the show. In addition to around 100 customised rides by youth under 18 years of age, the area also features the MP Jonnela Club, exclusive to those under 18. Stands will feature activities from organisations such as the national interest group Mopoilevat Nuoret ry and Asenne ry. The area will also include attractions like the Stunt Freaks Team’s stunt device and stickers for customisation, which can be purchased on the area.
