Radical Health Festival Helsinki Solidifies Role as Trailblazer in Digital Health Innovation; Next Event in June 2025

The second Radical Health Festival Helsinki, a pan-European health festival, concluded after three days of impactful discussions and engaging sessions. The festival explored innovative ideas, technologies, and practices in the health field, connecting policymakers, clinicians, health professionals, innovators, journalists, and influencers from around the world.

The 2024 edition of Radical Health Festival Helsinki, with the overarching theme ‘Deploying Precision and Prevention at Scale,’ featured a diverse and thought-provoking program with workshops, talks, and interactive experiences spanning topics from artificial intelligence to mental health and cybersecurity. The event, in this edition driven by the idea “It’s Critical to Be Radical,” aims to transform healthcare, improve clinical and financial outcomes, and make health systems sustainable.

Approximately a thousand professionals and influencers participated in the festival, contributing to its vibrant atmosphere and knowledge exchange. Over 140 distinguished speakers shared their insights and expertise, offering invaluable perspectives on the future of health and care. Media representatives from Germany, France, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Korea, Japan, and Finland also participated.

Pioneering the future of healthcare

"We proudly took on the role of founding partner for this event because we believe in its unique focus on the future of healthcare.  Understanding the limitations of existing healthcare systems, we advocate for radical thinking to foster new solutions. Bringing together policymakers, physicians, patients and tech companies, this event presents a crucial opportunity to drive impactful change in the healthcare landscape," says Teemu Suna, CEO and Founder of Nightingale Health Plc.

"IANPHI was proud to partner with the Radical Health Festival Helsinki in exploring the pros and cons of AI in public health and how AI is closing the gap between surveillance and intervention," says Prof. Dr. Duncan Selbie, the president of the International Associations of National Health Institutes IANPHI.

“The event offered an exceptionally high-quality program that attracted an international audience of professionals perfectly aligned with our business profile as a generator of opportunities. Through the matchmaking opportunities provided, we were able to connect with potential partners and gain visibility within the right target audience,” Business Coordinator Julia Zhou from Business Tampere says.

Highlighting topical healthcare issues

The event program explored a diverse range of highly topical healthcare issues, including the secondary use of data, women’s health, planetary health, and artificial intelligence. Hosted by the Finnish Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, the festival also featured an exclusive full-day program of site visits and high-level conversations for international ministerial delegations and selected participants. The curated program provided an excellent view of Finland’s leading digital health landscape and offered a unique opportunity to form potential partnerships.

Radical Health Festival Helsinki is the result of a collaborative effort from over 20 key European contributing partners including the Finnish Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) as the lead clinical partner, Nightingale Health as the founding partner, the College of Health Information Management Executives (CHIME), The International Associations of National Health Institutes (IANPHI), EHTEL, Healthtech Finland, and COCIR among others. The city of Helsinki is part of the festival consortium.

Looking ahead, the Radical Health Festival Helsinki is already planning for its next edition, which will take place in June 2025 year.
