Croatian National Tourist Board to Showcase at Matka Travel Fair 2025
Stockholm, December 18, 2025 – The Croatian National Tourist Board (CNTB) is pleased to announce its participation in the upcoming Matka Travel Fair, the leading travel industry event in Northern Europe, taking place from January 15 to 19, 2025, in Helsinki, Finland.
In collaboration with regional partners, including the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board, Zadar County Tourist Board, and Dubrovnik & Neretva County Tourist Board, CNTB will present Croatia’s diverse tourism offerings at stand C680, a 42-square-meter booth.
Visitors to the CNTB stand will have the opportunity to explore Croatia’s rich cultural heritage, stunning natural landscapes, and its commitment to sustainable tourism.

As part of the Matka Travel Fair program, Vedran Sušić, Director of the Croatian National Tourist Board, will join a panel discussion during the Matkatieto seminar organized by SMAL (Association of Finnish Travel Industry). The seminar, titled Managing Travel Flows – Where’s the Problem?, will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 12:15–12:55 at the Matkatieto stage, hall 6.
The seminar will address the challenges of overcrowding, congestion during peak seasons, and the increasing concerns of local residents in popular tourist destinations. Discussions will focus on the root causes of these issues and potential solutions for managing travel flows more sustainably.
The panel, moderated by Frank Oostdam, President of the European Travel Agents’ and Tour Operators’ Association (ECTAA), will feature:
• Jukka Punamäki, Senior Advisor, Tourism and Destination Management Unit, City of Helsinki
• Vedran Sušić, Director, Croatian National Tourist Board
• Julio Jiménez, Counselor for Tourism Affairs, Embassy of Spain to Finland, and Managing Director, Spanish Tourist Office in Helsinki
The seminar is open to all travel trade professionals and those responsible for organizing travel. Registration is free and can be completed via the provided link.
